Jesus Loves Everybody: Especially Me
Jesus Loves Everybody: Especially Me, written by Nicole Benoit-Roy is different than most
books. This one is comprised of four short stories, each one dealing with a
different aspect of a child’s life. In these stories, children learn about Christ’s eternal love
for them as it relates to their everyday lives. Story titles in the book are:

The
stories are very short, consisting of only 5-8 sentences each. Each story is
given a separate Biblical reference.
The
illustrations by Joshua Allen are colorful and expressive and work well with
the text.
Each
storybook has a companion coloring book (sold separately).
Jesus Loves Everybody: Especially Me Coloring Book, is the companion
book to the storybook mentioned above. The two books are the same except the
pages of the coloring book are, of course, just black and white so children can
color them as they please. Also, the pages of the coloring book are a bit
bigger than those of the storybook. And, there is no Acknowledgements page in
the back of the coloring book as there is in the story book.
This storybook/coloring book duo is the first in a planned
series of five books by this author. Each story book in the series will have a
corresponding coloring book.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of both the
storybook and coloring book will be donated to Operation Smile, an
international charity to support children born with facial deformities such as
cleft lip and cleft palate.
What I like: I like the idea of having a coloring book to go
along with a story book. This is a great way to promote the ideas of the story
book within the pages of the coloring book as each child colors the pages in
their book.
What I Dislike: However, I think the prices for the
storybook and the coloring book are a bit high for either of them.
Overall
Rating: Good.

Appeal: 4-8.

That is VERY pricey! That will keep us from buying it unless it becomes a national best seller (and if that happens, the price will go down to Mass Market level).
Thanks for taking the time to visit our website, read our reviews, and make a comment.
Yes, I agree, the price is high for this book. But the storybook has 57 pages, so it's much bigger than most storybooks for this age group. And, like I said in the review, it's like getting four books in one because normally these titles would be divided into four separate issues. But, the price is still prohibitive.
