What Is Faith?
What Is Faith? is written by Virginia Mueller and illustrated by Max Kolding. Faith is sometimes a difficult concept to grasp. Virginia Mueller uses everyday surroundings to help children understand what it means to have faith. Waiting for the eggs to hatch in a nearby birds nest or knowing that God hears prayers are two good examples given in this book. The illustrations show diverse families praying around the dinner table where mom and dad are both included. Other illustrations are given as well, such as a little girl getting on the school bus and kids looking at the stars.

I agree that "What Is Faith" is a great book for ages 4 and up. It takes a concept that can be cnfusing and makes it easy to understand for young children. For a slightly younger child, I recommend "Ladybug Baby Bug", by Janice and Mark Perkins, for it's adorable illustrations and positive family message of love and support. It makes a wonderful bedtime story.
