Sleepy Time Blessings is a calming board book for little ones who are ready to go to sleep. Written by Sally Anne Conan, and illustrated by Nicole Rutten, it tells of a little baby bunny who has one to bed for the night. As he is ready to sleep, there are guardian angels surrounding his crib:

Blessing tummy
Blessing toes
Blessing eyes and ears and nose ..."
Sometimes nighttime is scary for little ones, but this book assures them that God watches over them while they sleep. Even while a blustery winter wind is pictured blowing outside, the baby bunny sleeps contentedly, snuggled into his crib.
What I Like: This book is decidedly calming with muted colors and gentle, simple words. It portrays a decided sense of security for little ones who may feel a little nervous at bedtime. It will remind them that God watches over them even as they sleep. The cadence of your voice (if you read it soothingly) may even lull your child to sleep!
What I Dislike: I don't dislike anything about this book except maybe that I'd have liked it to be a little longer.
