Our Daily Bread: Prayers, Graces, and Slices of Scripture

Our Daily Bread: Prayers, Graces, and Slices of Scripture by Gwen Ellis, and illustrated by Jennifer Fitchwell, is a wonderful way to teach children to be thankful for God's blessings!

This board book is shaped like a slice of bread, and is full of prayers, poetry, and Scriptures about bread and thanksgiving. You'll love the illustrations as they feature children of all ethnicities and adorable animals too.

I love this prayer from the book:

"Thank you, God, for the farmer who grows the wheat.
Thank you, God, for the baker who makes the bread.
Thank you, God, for the store where we buy our food.
Thank you, God, for my mom and dad who work so hard.
And thank you, God, for the yummy meals they make. Amen."

What I Like: I like the simple layout and shape of this book. The colors are vivid, and the pictures are detailed, but suitable for very young children. The prayers are sweetly put, and the Scriptures featured in the book are easy for memorization.

What I Dislike: Nothing.

Overall Rating: Excellent
Age Appeal: 4-8, but I would say 2-5 is more accurate of an age range
