Prayer For A Child is a Caldecott Medal winning book written by Rachel Field. It was originally written for her daughter and was published in 1941. This is a precious book with beautiful illustrations rendered by Elizabeth Orton Jones.

What I Like: I like everything about this book. It is written in a more "old fashioned" style which may not appeal to everyone, but I love children's books written in this way.
What I Dislike: I can't find anything to dislike about this book.
