What Our Ratings Mean

In every review we publish at Christian Children’s Book Review (CCBR), you’ll find an “Overall Rating.” Here’s what those ratings mean.

Excellent: This is an exceptional book that we can’t recommend highly enough. You’ll find a list of books with this rating under “Top Picks” in the green menu running horizontally across the top of this blog.

Very Good: This is a book we recommend, although we aren’t quite excited enough to give it an “Excellent” rating. You’ll find a list of books with this rating under “Recommended” in the green menu running horizontally across the top of this blog.

Good: This book contains some things we don’t care for, but we still think it might be a worthwhile title for some.

Ho-Hum: We don’t care much for this book. See the complete review for our reasons why.

Poor: We think the book has serious flaws. See the complete review for our reasons why.

Sorry, Kristina, I don't see the "Browse by Rating" section. What am I missing?

Sandy, that's because we underwent a recent blog redesign, and I hadn't updated this post to reflect that! So sorry! Thanks for pointing out this error on my part.

You'll find "Top Picks" and "Recommended" books in the green menu running horizontally across the top of the blog.
