How Much Does God Love Me?

How Much Does God Love Me? Is written by Tim Wood and illustrated by Rory Tyger. This book’s theme is simple and yet so important for our children to comprehend. A family of four, a Mom, a Dad, a boy and a girl are camping together as a family. As they hike and set up their camp, the children ask their parents, “How much does God love me? Does he love me as deep as a river?” And the parents answer that God loves them deeper than the ocean. The two children continue to ask if God loves them as “high as the trees,” “as far as I can reach,” etc. And each time the Mom and Dad answer that God loves them even more than that. The illustrations are colorful and each question’s answer is revealed under a lift-the-flap picture. In the end, as the children get ready for bed, the parents tell their children that God’s love is everywhere and that they need not be afraid, for God will watch over them and is right there with them.
