Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam

The first thing that got my attention about Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam was the bright, yellow cover. The second thing that made me notice it was the title, as I thought it was a wonderful name for a children’s picture book. Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam, written and illustrated by award-winning author and illustrator, Hans Wilhelm, is a delightful picture book for children, with beautiful, sunny illustrations and a short text. The text itself is a shortened version of the children’s hymn, I’ll Be a Sunbeam, which was written by Nellie Talbot. If your little ones already know the words to the song, they will delight in seeing the lyrics come to life through the actions of a little, fluffy duck.

What I like: I liked the whole book, especially the artwork. The illustrations are sure to capture your little one’s attention.

What I dislike: Nothing.

Overall Rating: Excellent.

Age Appeal: 2-4.
